Ryan F. Love began submitting his writing to journals during the pandemic and has had several short stories and poems published since. In 2022, George Saunders chose his essay “Things waver and vanish, waterily” as the winner of a contest sponsored by Random House and Prose, which has been the home of his scribblings since 2019. He teaches high school English in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, where he earned a degree from Alfred University. Ryan lives with his wife in a Victorian with pairs of daughters and beagles.

Ryan is seeking publication of his historical fiction novel The Ghosts on the Glass. It follows the career of the spirit photographer William H. Mumler, most remembered for his image of Mary Todd Lincoln with her husband’s ghost.
